I made a few adjustments to the sponge fingered glove. I used actual dish-washing gloves instead of the more medical glove I've been using. I've tried to shape the sponges to the fingers better as well as added Velcro for fastening the sponges the glove so they could be changed. I also made some different colored sponges soaked in different kinds of dish soap in case orange isn't your thing.
Questions:
1. Would you be more likely to use these than regular rubber gloves to wash dishes?
2. What changes would you recommend for the gloves to make them more usable?
3. How would you like to see this product marketed?
I like the idea of the sponges being interchangeable but i would add a hard scrubby thing.. you know there is the spongy side and the scrubby side? well i would add scrubby things because I use that the most when i wash dishes!
ReplyDeleteHaha right, I actually had some hard scrubbies all cut out to fit in the palms of the gloves and I totally forgot about them until just now. So yeah, I should probably stick those on there.
ReplyDeleteI really like the colors
ReplyDeletewhen it is marketed I think having a large color palette for the customer to choose from would be cool

ReplyDelete1. Would you be more likely to use these than regular rubber gloves to wash dishes?
Probably - if I was given a sample to try it out first. it's more natural - but please don't get my hands wet
2. What changes would you recommend for the gloves to make them more usable?
grip
dry hands
no-sweaty feeling inside the glove

sample first. I think USING the product is really what will sell it - like that lufta thing... that weird pomo-pom thing you use to bathe your self. It took a group of GUYS to sell me this in my mind 0 - using it was everyhitng
I agree with Heather, I use the green, harder scrubber most.
ReplyDelete1. & 2. i never use gloves when i wash dishes because i'm allergic to latex..so you should consider making latex-free scrubby gloves i'd be all in for using them.
ReplyDelete3. marketing wise, you should definitely have more options for the consumer between the green scrubby side versus the softer sides. like, the right hand could have the scrubby side and the left hand would have normal sponge.
Honestly I have to say that I have never used gloves to wash my dishes, but am always grossed out! If I had something like these gloves, I would have to try them to see if I like them. I agree with adding a scrubby side to the sponges, and I agree with Abbi when she talked about how your hands get sweaty when inside the gloves. It would be awesome if you could come up with a way to prevent that.
ReplyDeleteOk, so what I've gathered from this is that everybody would like to see the hard scrubby thing on the gloves. Good news, I already added them! So there's a green scrubby in the palm of each hand now (my camera charger seems to have gone temporarily missing, so pictures to come in the near future). I also will consider making them latex free (which they might already be, I through the box away so I'm not sure). I'm going to do some research as well to see what can be done to get rid of the icky sweaty hand feeling you get after wearing them for awhile.
ReplyDeleteHow did this work for you? I have something that I use that works wonders while washing dishes. Feel free to email me if you are interested.
