mood conveyer

i have those days, more often than not, that regardless of how put together or how messy i look people could really just get the picture.
"so i am composed - but i feel like crap. this is not an inviting smile, it is a DO NOT APPROACH OR THIS SMILE WILL PEEL BACK TO REVEAL MY DEMON TEETH READY TO RIP OPEN YOUR FACE."
"ok, i know, i look like a sack of s*&#t. but seriously, i'm doin' ok. it would kind of make my day if we could pick up on a conversation."

and so on. this could become extremely useful in the inevitably confusing situations that are the female hormones gone rampant to the complete neglect of their significant others.

QUESTIONS:
1. do you really think that wearing your mood on your sleeve could aid more than hinder? -socially -personally -professionally -academically, etc
2. would you feel comfortable being required to choose a "method" to make your mood public knowledge?
3. what are the benefits of such future technology?
4. seriously... how creepy or cool would this be?

Seeing I'm a person who does this naturally - I'd say it's really disarming for people. Most people don't really like it at first... but later they appreciate the honesty. Sometimes it can be a drag if you're not a happy person. I think that it's harder to be taken seriously when you are emotionally open - but this has much to do with the left brain anti-emotional state our culture prefers.

    2. would you feel comfortable being required to choose a "method" to make your mood public knowledge?

    unsure.

    3. what are the benefits of such future technology?

Social ease in knowing how to approach people
but lack of privacy would be the other bit. You wouldn't be able to hide jelousy etc... which might also be a good thing. Make you think differently

    4. seriously... how creepy or cool would this be?
it would change society that's for certain. Isn;t facebook something similar?

  2. it's kind of like a simplified facebook status plastered on your person.
keeping big brother in the know... say a composed person enters a building, his patch flashing and gets followed and arrested as a future crime suspect. a weapon is found on his person...

i don't know. it's the usable MOOD RING of 2010.

I am not one for letting the world know my business. i feel also that it may act as a sort of permission slip or excuse box for getting away with stuff.

    2. would you feel comfortable being required to choose a "method" to make your mood public knowledge?

    no

    3. what are the benefits of such future technology?

I actually don;t see any, sorry.

    4. seriously... how creepy or cool would this be?

I think it is niether creepy or cool, just a little too much like a physical version of twitter, which I don't like. Just being honest.
