The Amazing Brain :: Autism

I was fascinated by the idea of people with autism having many or all areas of their brain open to information at the same time. I was looking online and found this. What an incredible gift!

  2. It is very important to not overly romanticize autism. I don't disagree that having access to a different way of being is a gift, but in reality many children born on the autistic spectrum never outgrow the extreme internalization that occurs from over sensory stimulation of their external environment.

  3. A clear misinterpretation of my comment. In no way am I "Romanticizing" Autism.

  4. Like all things - there is a range of experiences, interpretations, and expressions/reactions. I believe that Josh just wanted to show a different perspective and how the experience doesn't have to be totally negative.
